Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract A temporary opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse to support an Ambulatory Surgery Center through a dynamic three-month assignment. The role is designed for an RN who excels in fast-paced surgical environments, demonstrating poise during medical emergencies and efficiency in managing significant patient volumes.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM No weekends or holidays
Key Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license Proven experience in Operating Room (OR) nursing Background in ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient clinics, or emergency settings highly preferred Ability to handle high patient volumes (up to 90 patients daily) Demonstrated leadership and composure in urgent medical situations Meticulous attention to infection prevention and procedural safety protocols Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Primary Duties:
Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures Monitor patient status; respond promptly and efficiently to emergent needs Maintain a sterile and safe operative environment Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing staff to optimize workflow Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory standards Contribute to patient education and discharge planning, fostering positive patient experiences
