Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic stepdown unit setting, working with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting complex recovery. This nursing position provides the chance to utilize advanced clinical skills while managing transitional patients who require continual assessment and intervention.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid, unencumbered RN license Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a stepdown, progressive care, or similar setting Advanced assessment skills with ability to monitor and intervene for at-risk patients Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong organizational abilities and sound clinical judgement Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation best practices
Responsibilities and Duties:
Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care for patients stepping down from critical or intensive care Continuously monitor vital signs and promptly recognize and respond to changes in patient condition Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage specialized equipment as outlined by care plans Collaborate with physicians and members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and families regarding ongoing care needs, discharge planning, and medication regimens Ensure accurate charting and maintain regulatory compliance at all times Adhere to infection control procedures and unit safety standards
