1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license. Details Hospital-based Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts, 6:45 AM
  • 5:15 PM Floating required within scope of practice, including the Main OR and a sister hospital campus as needed On-call required approximately 12-15 days per 6-week schedule, including a minimum of 2 weekends Weekends are included in call requirements only, not as part of the regular schedule Local candidates are accepted for this position Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications required as listed in the position description Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO is capped at 7 days and cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all applicable holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted — the posted shift is firm Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
