Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Desired Skills and Experience:
Active, unencumbered RN license Previous experience in a school nursing setting, pediatric care, or public health strongly preferred Thorough knowledge of medication administration, care planning, and health assessments Ability to manage confidential information in compliance with all regulations (FERPA, HIPAA) Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Compassionate approach with children and adolescents
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and address students' health needs, including first aid, illness management, and chronic condition support (such as diabetes, asthma, allergies) Administer medications and maintain accurate health records in accordance with state and district policies Collaborate with educators and families to develop health plans and promote overall student wellness Provide health education to students and staff, encouraging healthy behaviors and safe practices Respond to emergencies and coordinate care as necessary Serve as a resource on communicable disease prevention and assist with immunization compliance
