1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring at least 1 year of home health experience and proficiency with HCHB. Details Home health setting serving an adult to geriatric patient population Caseload ratio of 1:7 Utilizes HCHB (required) and Pointcare for documentation and charting Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Every other weekend required Floating within scope of practice as needed On-call availability may be required Mon-Sun, 4:30 PM-8:00 AM, approximately every 4-6 weeks Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of home health nursing experience required Proficiency with HCHB required Strong communication skills with patients, clinical staff, Medical Directors, and office staff Ability to work independently and in an organized manner Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) highly preferred for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Local candidates are accepted RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment Holiday coverage is required: travelers are expected to work all major holidays that fall within their assignment period (up to 2); if 3 major holidays occur during the assignment, travelers must work 2 of them — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler Royal blue or black scrubs required No special scheduling requests or alternate shift requests are permitted Candidates undergo a clinical screening review prior to manager consideration
