This position is based at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, GA We are seeking a Full Time Family or Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner to join our team. You will be expected to work 5 days per week, Monday-Friday between 7:30am to 4:30pm. No Holidays or Weekends.
Minimum Requirements:
2 years recent experience working with Pediatric patients active RN license from any US state active PRN license from any US state MSN degree Board Certified by AANP or ANCC Current BLS Clean Background Must be
US Citizen Job Duties:
  • Primarily see Pediatrics Patients. will see 20 patients per day
  • Be capable of adequately diagnosing and treating a wide-range of pediatric acute and chronic diseases and injuries
  • Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).
  • Technically direct and teach other staff, provide evidenced-based educational lectures and participate in in-service training to staff members.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
  • Recognize conditions that require isolation and ensure universal precautions are used in all patient encounters.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement and safety.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and employee safe work habits.
  • Prepare records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures.
  • Attend and participate in patient care reports, patient care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities only to the extent that such attendance and participation is relative to his/her assigned cases and/or performance of services as determined by the supervisor.
