  • Job Description:
  • We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for a child diagnosed with a genetic disorder, developmental delay, epilepsy, and mobility limitations requiring wheelchair assistance.
The nurse will be responsible for ensuring the child's health, safety, comfort, and overall well-being while collaborating with family members and healthcare providers.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct pediatric nursing care and ongoing health monitoring.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and manage seizure activity, including emergency response when needed. Assess and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition. Assist with mobility, positioning, transfers, and wheelchair-related care. Support activities of daily living, including feeding, hygiene, and personal care. Implement care plans and therapeutic interventions recommended by physicians and therapists. Maintain accurate nursing records and reports. Educate and support family members regarding the child's care needs. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Qualifications:
  • Valid RN license in Georgia Experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
Knowledge of epilepsy/seizure management and emergency care. Experience caring for children with developmental disabilities or special healthcare needs is an advantage. Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Current CPR/BLS certification. Physically capable of assisting with transfers, positioning, and mobility support.
  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience with genetic disorders and neurological conditions. Familiarity with mobility aids, wheelchair care, and rehabilitation support. Ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergency situations.
