Pediatric Registered Nurse

  • Part-time, Full-time Overview Opulent Private Care Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled in-home nursing care for a medically fragile infant enrolled in the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP).
This patient requires continuous supplemental oxygen, enteral nutrition, and ongoing monitoring for respiratory status and developmental progress. This position is ideal for a pediatric nurse who enjoys caring for infants with complex medical needs while partnering closely with the family to promote safe growth and development at home. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with the Physician Plan of Treatment (PPOT) and GAPP guidelines Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments throughout each shift Manage continuous low-flow oxygen therapy via nasal cannula Continuously monitor pulse oximetry and recognize changes requiring intervention Monitor for increased work of breathing, apnea, bradycardia, or oxygen desaturation Administer medications as prescribed Manage enteral nutrition via NG tube and/or G-tube (following surgical placement) Operate feeding pumps and monitor feeding tolerance Document intake/output and monitor hydration and nutritional status Perform routine vital signs and ongoing nursing assessments Monitor growth, developmental progress, and overall clinical status Provide total care assistance including diapering, positioning, skin integrity monitoring, and hygiene Observe for signs of aspiration or feeding intolerance Reinforce caregiver education regarding oxygen safety, feeding equipment, medication administration, and emergency preparedness Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, caregivers, and the Opulent Private Care Services clinical team Maintain consistency and continuity of care for this medically fragile infant Qualifications Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Current and active Georgia RN license (required) Current BLS/CPR certification (required) Pediatric home health or medically fragile pediatric experience (preferred) Experience caring for premature infants or NICU graduates (preferred) Experience with oxygen therapy and continuous pulse oximetry (preferred) Experience with NG tubes, G-tubes, feeding pumps, and enteral nutrition (preferred) Strong assessment skills related to pediatric respiratory conditions Ability to recognize early signs of respiratory distress and initiate appropriate interventions Ability to work independently in a home setting Must pass background and fingerprint screening Negative TB test or chest X-ray Compassionate, dependable, and punctual Clinical Experience Preferred Experience with any of the following is strongly preferred: Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) Chronic respiratory failure Supplemental oxygen management Pulse oximetry monitoring Premature infants/NICU graduates NG tube feedings G-tube care and enteral nutrition Feeding pump management Developmental care for medically fragile infants Family education and caregiver support Compensation Pay is $50
