Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-NICU Job Type Travel Step into a vital nursing role providing outstanding care for newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate Registered Nurse with specialized NICU expertise, ready to contribute effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active, unencumbered RN license Recent experience working in a Level II or Level
III NICU
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications Strong assessment and clinical skills specific to neonatal populations Detailed knowledge of NICU equipment, medication administration, and evidence-based protocols Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, evidence-based care to critically ill or premature infants in collaboration with neonatologists and advanced practice providers Closely monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient status, and intervene promptly Administer medications, fluids, and nutrition tailored to neonatal needs Provide ongoing support and education to families regarding infant care, hospital procedures, and discharge planning Document all care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records Adhere strictly to infection control, medication safety, and hospital policies within the NICU Participate in ongoing professional development and unit-based quality improvement initiatives
