Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide exceptional patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) systems, critical care procedures, and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy and ophthalmology. Work Schedule:

3 x 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Sign on

Bonus:

$20,000 • Up To 20% differential of total base pay based on level advancement, aligned to education and certification progression to support career growth. Duties Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans. Utilize Epic and Cerner EHR systems to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Administer medications and treatments such as IV infusions, suturing, tube feeding, and injections with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Monitor vital signs, conduct physical examinations, and perform diagnostic evaluations to identify changes in patient condition promptly. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and specialized treatments like botulinum toxin injections or ophthalmology procedures. Manage acute pain through appropriate interventions while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold infection control standards throughout all nursing activities. Requirements Valid RN license with current state licensure; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; hospital medicine experience preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to acute care nursing. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Demonstrated competence in advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization, dialysis management, ventilator support, or trauma medicine. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or urgent care settings.
