Registered Nurse Just Peachy Home Care North Sandy Springs, GA Job Details Part-time | Travel nursing | Contract Up to $400 a day 5 hours ago Qualifications RN License Patient assessment Attention to detail Home health Analytical thinking Critical thinking Care plans Full Job Description Overview Just Peachy Home Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to conduct Initial Visit Evaluations and Supervisory Visits for home health care clients. This role is essential to initiating services, maintaining compliance, and ensuring high-quality care delivery in the home setting. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with case management and agency leadership. This position focuses on client assessments, regulatory compliance, and documentation , rather than direct bedside care. Key Responsibilities Conduct Initial Visit Evaluations to assess client needs, safety, and eligibility for home care services Perform routine supervisory visits to ensure services remain compliant and appropriate Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and document findings accurately Review, complete, and ensure all required paperwork is properly signed by the client and/or guardian or family representative Verify services align with authorized care plans and service orders Communicate with agency staff regarding assessment findings or changes in client status Ensure all documentation meets state, program, and agency compliance standards Maintain accurate, timely records within the agency's documentation system Qualifications & Skills Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Experience in care coordination preferred Strong assessment and documentation skills Knowledge of compliance requirements for home care services Ability to work independently and manage visit schedules efficiently Excellent communication skills with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Comfortable reviewing and completing required regulatory paperwork Skills Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency room (ER), ICU/CCU/PICU units; familiarity with trauma medicine and urgent care is preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth; strong medical documentation skills.
Expertise in advanced nursing procedures:
IV infusion/insertion, venipuncture/draws, sterile processing techniques. Knowledge of complex medical conditions such as acute pain management, infectious diseases, Alzheimer's/dementia care or working with people with disabilities. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations like sonography or laboratory testing; familiarity with CPT coding is advantageous. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology; capable of performing physical examinations and diagnostic assessments accurately. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration. Critical thinking skills for triage decisions; experience in acute care settings including trauma centers or surgical units is highly desirable.
