Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a passion for providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including medical offices, ambulatory surgery centers, and hospitals. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Duties Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and medical history. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion. Provide direct patient care in various settings such as hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-operative care. Provide pre and post operative instructions. Wound care, dressing changes and removal of sutures, staples and drains. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures. Assist with the completion of FMLA certifications, Workman's Compensation documentation and other medical clearance forms. Skills Strong clinical skills in medical office settings, including the ability to perform assessments and administer treatments. Proficiency in IV insertion techniques and tube feeding procedures. Experience in an ambulatory surgery center is highly desirable. Ability to lift patients safely while adhering to proper ergonomic techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on providing emotional support during treatment. Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
