Schedule/Hours:

Full-time contract hours in a fast-paced ED environment

Qualifications:

Active Georgia RN license required Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an emergency department setting Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) certification required PALS and TNCC preferred, but not required Emergency nursing national certification preferred, but not required Familiarity with drip management (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed) Skilled in phlebotomy and IV initiation Comfortable independently interpreting cardiac telemetry strips

Responsibilities:

Triage, assess, and manage care for patients with varied acute conditions, such as chest pain, stroke, diabetes, trauma, and mental health Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (generally 1:3-4, varying by zone) Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including 24/7 hospitalist, intensivist, and respiratory therapy coverage Utilize advanced technology, including EPIC EMR, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitors Provide support and potentially float within the ED or to affiliated emergency departments as needed Participate in a welcoming unit culture known for strong teamwork and long-term staff commitment
