$200 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Long-Term Care Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in long-term care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and memory care units. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care, promoting health, safety, and well-being for individuals with diverse medical needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various nursing disciplines and demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of our residents through attentive and professional care. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine individual care needs. Develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with medical documentation standards such as MDS (Minimum Data Set) and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Administer medications accurately via various routes including injections, IV infusions, and catheter care while maintaining aseptic techniques. Monitor residents for acute pain, infectious disease symptoms, or behavioral health issues; respond promptly with appropriate interventions. Manage complex medical procedures such as wound suturing, ostomy care, tube feeding, dialysis support, and ventilator management. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation of patient care activities and medical records. Provide education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication administration, and chronic disease management. Support emergency response efforts by applying basic life support (BLS), airway management techniques, and triage protocols. Assist in infection control practices to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within long-term care environments.
Pay:
$55.00 - $64.00 per hour
