Hilo Benioff Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Professional Nurse (RPN III) to join our Extended Care Facility team. In this role, you will provide high-quality long-term care nursing services to adult and geriatric residents while promoting patient-centered care, safety, and dignity. The RPN III serves as a key member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, coordinating resident care, providing education to residents and families, and supporting a positive, collaborative care environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for long-term care residents, including physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions while monitoring and documenting resident responses and changes in condition.
Coordinate care with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other departments to ensure continuity of care and optimal resident outcomes.
Provide resident and family education regarding disease processes, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Serve as a collaborative team member and role model, supporting quality improvement initiatives and promoting exceptional customer service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is highly desirable but not required. Experience Minimum six (6) months of professional nursing experience. Certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one (1) month of hire. Licensure Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
