Week Pay Rate:

$53/hourly Mandatory Qualifications for This Job Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) License required by assignment start date. Candidates without a Hawaii license must apply immediately upon offer acceptance. Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg and/or Step Down nursing experience . Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.

Preferred Certifications:

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) Procedural Sedation Certification Experience caring for adult acute care patients in hospital settings. Ability and willingness to float between multiple units as needed. Experience with EMR documentation systems. Roles and ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Provide direct patient care for adult medical, surgical, and step-down patients. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Flex Pool Nursing Responsibilities Float between various nursing units based on staffing and patient care needs.

Work in:

Medical Unit Laulima Surgical Acute Unit Cardiovascular Unit (as needed) Adapt quickly to different patient populations and unit workflows. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Clinical Equipment & Technology Utilize healthcare technologies and equipment including: Meditech EMR Pyxis Medication Dispensing System Wound VAC Therapy Chest Tube Management Systems Follow hospital protocols for safe equipment usage and patient care. Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with hospital standards, regulatory requirements, and patient safety initiatives. Maintain infection prevention and control practices. Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
