Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room / ASCJob Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team in Hawaii. The ideal candidate is professional, patient-focused, highly organized, and committed to delivering exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role participates in all aspects of the perioperative process, including patient care, surgical case management, operating room preparation, patient safety, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff. ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Surgical Support Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room setting Perform circulating nurse duties according to established operating room policies and procedures Prepare operating rooms, supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures Assist with patient admission, transport, positioning, and intraoperative care Monitor and maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure according to safety protocols Support anesthesia personnel during induction and patient care Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate patient status effectively Provide emotional support, reassurance, and education to patients throughout the surgical process Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, leadership, and clinical staff Organize nursing activities efficiently to support effective case management and room turnover Delegate tasks appropriately based on staff competencies Assist with orientation and training of new personnel Participate in meetings, committees, quality improvement activities, and continuing education Compliance & Professional Standards Adhere to facility policies, procedures, compliance standards, and ethical business practices Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality Participate in performance improvement and risk management initiatives Report safety concerns, hazards, and policy noncompliance promptly Promote a positive, respectful, and professional work environment Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Active Hawaii RN license Current CPR and
ACLS/PALS
