Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY
Leads, plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates performance improvement and risk management activities for the Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH) in accordance with department's goals and objectives and mission of QNHCH and The Queen's Health Systems (QHS). Oversees and supports medical staff, departments, and services in meeting requirements of licensing, accreditation, and credentialing agencies. Investigates, documents and analyzes incidents occurring throughout QNHCH, which may result in general and/or professional liability claims. Leads the implementation, and facilitation of key clinical performance improvement efforts.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree Nursing. Master's degree nursing preferred.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Current Hawaii State License as a Registered Nurse. Certification in National Association of Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) preferred.
C. EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years nursing experience with at least one (1) year performance improvement experience. Knowledge of performance improvement, databases/information systems preferred. Demonstrated experience with computer word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications may be required depending upon area of assignment.
