Job Description

Join Western Home Communities as a Weekend Pack Nurse Mentor Are you a compassionate and experienced RN looking to take the next step in your career? Western Home Communities is seeking a strong, organized, and caring Nurse Mentor to lead and inspire our team at Deery Suites. This is more than just a job. What You'll Do:
Provide direct nursing care and guidance to staff across all levels Identify and educate staff on infection control and prevention practices Lead and support the MDS process, including scheduling and transmitting assessments Supervise direct care staff and help them achieve shared goals for resident care Administer medications, treatments, and follow physician orders with precision and compassion Communicate effectively with physicians, supervisors, and team members about resident needs and care progress
What You'll Need:
Graduate of a state-approved RN program Current Iowa RN license CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (or willingness to complete) Successful completion of the state-mandated supervisory course within 6 months
Preferred:
Experience with MDS processes Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
