At Physicians' Clinic of Iowa, we are focused on delivering quality patient care. Our Rheumatology Department is currently seeking a full time Infusion RN to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Clinic Duties include: Assisting with procedures Preparing and administering injections Following up on and recording test results Providing patient education Completing prior authorizations for treatments and diagnostic testing Screening calls for physicians and answering patient questions Infusion Duties include: Performing initial and ongoing patient assessments prior to and during each infusion to ensure patients are free of infection, adverse reactions, or other complications Performing venipuncture using aseptic technique and maintaining sterility of the closed IV system Educating patients on IV therapy and the infusion process Preparing IV medications according to drug reconstitution protocols Administering medications per manufacturer guidelines Assisting with clinical drug study infusions as needed
Qualifications:
Current RN license is required. Experience providing infusion treatment, preferred. BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment. Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems. Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork. Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality. Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices. Why Join PCI?
