Job Description:

22nd Century Healthcare is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Med Surg assignment in Chariton, Iowa. This role involves providing direct patient care in a Med Surg setting while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes in a Critical Access Hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to Med Surg patients Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and treatments safely and accurately Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to physicians and healthcare team members Coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and patient education activities Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using Epic EMR Support infection prevention and patient safety initiatives Respond effectively to emergencies and changing patient conditions Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

Active Iowa RN License Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience BLS Certification (AHA) ACLS preferred Strong Med Surg nursing experience Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
