REGISTERED NURSE - MED SPA

CRHC is looking for a full time (40 hours/week) Registered Nurse to join our Medical Spa team. This position's schedule is Monday through Friday, hours may be flexible.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for Advancing Exceptional Care by prioritizing Safety and Quality in every aspect of patient care. This role is committed to fulfilling essential duties that enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and overall healthcare standards, ensuring all actions align with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) . QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience Graduate from an approved school/college of nursing Minimum one (1) year clinical nursing experience required Experience in dermatology, aesthetics, or procedural care preferred Certificates, Licensure, Registrations Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa or compact state Current BLS certification required Aesthetic or injectable certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification

WORK SCHEDULE & SHIFT REQUIREMENTS

The facility operates 24/7; however, work schedules may vary based on departmental needs to ensure the highest standard of patient care and operational efficiency. Flexibility will be expected. Schedules vary based on patient demand. Flexibility expected. Non-exempt, overtime eligible.

Performs patient admission and assessment activities Obtains medical history, medications, allergies, and aesthetic goals Performs appropriate assessments and identifies contraindications Assists provider and performs treatments within RN scope Prepare patients and treatment areas Performs injectables and non-invasive procedures per training Collects and prepares necessary supplies and equipment Initiates and manages peripheral IV access using aseptic techniques Administers IV fluids, vitamins and medications per approved protocols and provider orders Monitors patients during infusion for therapeutic response and potential adverse reactions Documents IV therapy accurately in the medical record including assessment, infusion details and patient response. Provides patient education and follow-up care Educates patients on procedures, risks, and aftercare Communicates results and follow-up instructions Triages patient concerns and reports to provider Demonstrates emergency response capability Recognizes adverse reactions and initiates appropriate response Maintains calm and effective response in urgent situations Communicates effectively Collaborates with providers and team members Documents care accurately in EMR Communicates patient updates and concerns Promotes patient safety Administers treatments safely per protocol Maintains infection control standards Uses proper techniques to prevent injury Quality Program Participation Actively participates in CRHC's Quality Program, committees, performance improvement initiatives, and operational support activities. Demonstrates a commitment to Quality Improvement (QI) practices. Regularly attends Department huddles. Completes tasks as outlined on the Department Huddle Board. Other Responsibilities Performs additional duties as assigned to support the strategic initiatives of CRHC.
