- Make a Difference Every Day Vera French Community Mental Health Center is looking for a compassionate and driven Registered Nurse to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team - a dynamic, community-based program that meets clients where they are and helps them thrive. This is a full-time, first-shift position with rotating on-call responsibilities. Why This Role Matters As an ACT Nurse, you won't just provide care - you'll change lives. You'll work directly in the community, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs as they build independence, stability, and meaningful connections. Every day looks a little different, and every day makes an impact. What You'll Do Provide nursing services, case management, and supportive counseling Monitor, administer, and educate clients about medications Review lab results and collaborate with the team prescriber Assess physical health needs and coordinate appropriate referrals Teach independent living skills Help clients access housing, employment, and community resources Support clients in building strong, sustainable community networks What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Nursing Minimum six months of psychiatric nursing experience Current Iowa RN license ANCC Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing (Generalist) certification preferred Valid driver's license with insurable driving record Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug, and alcohol screening Learn.
