Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule employee and clinical education programs. Support competency validation activities and tracking. Manage and monitor Relias education assignments. Prepare and distribute educational materials and presentations. Maintain records of staff training participation. Develop and update emergency preparedness plans, policies, and procedures. Conduct hazard vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and after-action reports to identify gaps and improve preparedness strategies. Coordinate and lead full-scale emergency preparedness drills, tabletop exercises, simulations, and training exercises. Track continuing education offerings and attendance. Prepare and issue continuing education certificates. Assist with uploading and organizing content in Relias. Track employee orientation checklists and completion. Maintain competency documentation across systems and files. Coordinate quarterly skills days and mock code sessions. Support patient safety, equipment, and documentation training initiatives. Ensure compliance with regulatory education requirements. Maintain documentation for continuing education programs. Support Iowa Board of Nursing and EMS CEH program processes. Organize program files (objectives, attendance, evaluations, certificates). Track and report on education and competency metrics. Assist with planning and coordination of EMS conferences and events. Support logistics for internal and external training programs. Coordinate community education programs (CPR, first aid, etc.). Assist with outreach initiatives, career programs, and partnerships Coordinate student onboarding, documentation, and placements. Communicate with schools, leadership, and departments for student scheduling. Maintain student records, access, and compliance requirements Support reporting, meetings, patient experience initiatives, and special projects.
Professional Requirements:
Complete annual education requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Report to work on time and as scheduled. Wear identification while on duty. Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times. Comply with all organizational policies. Conduct oneself as a professional in accordance with PRIDE values. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Attend regular staff meetings and in-services.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, Required. Current Iowa licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required. Experience working in healthcare, education, or administrative support role, Preferred. Experience supporting educational programs or training coordination, Preferred. Familiarity with Relias Learning Management System, Preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff, leadership, and community partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare environment.
