Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit! As a Registered Nurse at MercyOne, you will be a collaborative member/leader of the healthcare team and is accountable for practicing both the art and science of nursing, delivering care as prescribed by the ANA Standards of Practice & Professional Performance described below. In addition, registered nurses are accountable to practice in accordance with standards established/endorsed by MercyOne leadership and by external regulators and accreditation agencies. The RN actively promotes MercyOne Nursing and the nursing profession and supports advancing practice as defined by the MercyOne Nursing Vision Statement and annual Patient Care Services goals. Full Time, 36hrs a week 1800-0630, (3) 12 hr shifts per week Holiday & weekend rotationPOSITION PURPOSE
Provides and directs safe, effective and culturally competent care for high risk, critically acute patients with actual or potential life-threatening conditions. Through evidence-based practice, utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement and evaluate outcome-based care of patients. Provides care to critically ill patients including cardiovascular and surgical patients. May assume responsibilities and accountability for assigned ECMO patients. Supervises and coordinates care provided to patients by the LPN, Patient Care Assistants and other nursing team members. Facilitates communication with physicians, patient and family, other departments and/or team members. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Conducts an initial assessment to gather data. Identifies patient problems and develops them into an outcome/goal-based plan of care. Implements the outcome/goal- based plan of care. Evaluates patient progress and revises the outcome/goal-based plan as needed. Communicates relevant clinical information to the team to optimize patient outcomes/goals. Demonstrates clinical competence. Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. Collects, analyzes, interprets and applies age-specific data. Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures. Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.Mission Statement:

Associate degree required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Critical Care nursing experience preferred. Current Iowa RN license or active compact RN license recognized by the state of Iowa American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter - Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities within 12 months of hire. Trama Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 3 months of hire. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability. Basic computer skills required.
