Adair County Health System is seeking a PRN Clinic Nurse (CMA/LPN/RN) to support our clinic teams as needed. Coordinate ongoing patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations, including greeting patients, updating demographic and insurance information, and managing telephone communication. Report results and pertinent information to patients and healthcare team members. Assist with patient assessment and treatment by collecting basic patient data both in clinic and via telephone. Utilize professional, tactful communication skills that enhance the patient experience and clinic image. Perform assigned technical and non-technical clinic duties. Evaluate patient and family understanding of treatment plans and instructions. Facilitate interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care. Assist with minor procedures, exams, and operation of diagnostic equipment as assigned. Participate in staff development activities and orientation as requested. Maintain appropriate aseptic technique for procedures and medication administration. Maintain accurate patient documentation, including assessments, care provided, instructions, telephone conversations, and medication refills. Follow instrument and equipment maintenance protocols, identify issues, and coordinate necessary repairs. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Assist with inventory management and stocking of laboratory and nursing supplies. Perform laboratory testing, including phlebotomy and routine or automated testing, while maintaining quality assurance documentation. Demonstrate knowledge of clinic policies and procedures, specimen collection, medical laboratory techniques, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, disease processes, medical terminology, and health insurance regulations. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, including CLIA and OSHA, related to office laboratory operations. Serve as a mandatory reporter in accordance with state requirements. Current licensure as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) , Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) , or Registered Nurse (RN) issued by the State of Iowa required. Current CPR certification required. Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills. Previous experience working in a medical office preferred.
