Job Description

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Grinnell, Iowa . This night-shift role offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced travelers and first-time travel nurses to support a dedicated obstetrics team.

Schedule Details:
Every 3rd weekend; holiday rotation included.
On-Call Requirements:
None Key Responsibilities & Unit Details You will provide comprehensive care across a 3-bed LDRP and 4-bed Postpartum unit, averaging 19-31 deliveries per month. Patient types include labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and newborn nursery.
Ratios:
Maintain a 1:1 ratio for active labor, and a 1:3-4 ratio for couplets.
Clinical Duties:
Manage titration of pitocin and provide high-quality care to mothers and newborns.
Cross-Training/Floating:
While rare, you may infrequently float to Med-Surg or ICU units to assist with medication passes or basic patient care.
Job Requirements L&D Experience:
Minimum of 24 months of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
Nursery & Postpartum:
Mother-Baby and Postpartum experience is highly preferred.
Electronic Medical Records:
Proficiency with EPIC is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply! Certifications & Licensure Active Iowa or Compact/Multistate RN License (required at time of application). BLS (AHA or ARC) & ACLS (AHA) certifications. NRP Certification. Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certificate. AWHONN certification.
Pay:
$59.00 - $73.45 per hour
