Shift:

12-hour night shifts, 7 pm-7 am; 3 shifts per week Start date: May 26, 2026 Block scheduling preferred: 6 on, 8 off Supervisory/charge nurse duties across ER and Med Surg when scheduled Responsibilities Serve as supervisor/charge nurse for Med Surg and ER, guiding patient care and unit operations during assigned shifts. Provide hands-on RN care in ER and Med Surg as needed, including patient assessment, monitoring, and timely interventions. Lead nursing staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and support orientation of junior staff and students. Collaborate with physicians, discharge planners, and ancillary teams to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges. Ensure patient safety and quality of care by adhering to clinical standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory policies; manage handoffs and shift reports. Maintain patient flow and bed management by prioritizing care needs and responding to emergent situations across units.

Requirements Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC current and active. OB/Newborn Stabilization education/training submitted or available for review. Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience in acute care settings, with exposure to ER and Med Surg preferred. Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the 16-week assignment requirement; ability to travel for this travel assignment. Demonstrated clinical competence in emergency and medical-surgical nursing, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
