Job Description
•$10,000 Sign-on Bonus •
SCHEDULE
Full-Time; 36 hours per week; 7:00 pm - 7:00 am . Every third weekend. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care in various settings - Inpatient, Swing Bed, OB, SCU, ER, Outpatient and Perioperative. The RN directs and provides patient/family teaching. The RN provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Current Iowa RN license. Graduate from an approved professional Nursing Program. Certification in Basic Life Support is required within three months of date of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification is required within twelve months of date of hire. Takes responsibility for pursuit of continuing education. No experience required other than during formal education process. Completes admission assessments and documentation. Appropriate assessments/reassessments completed with documentation. Initiates and individualizes care plans on admission. Reviews care plan per policy. Provides and documents patient/family education. Keeps practitioner/charge nurse informed of change in patient condition. Organizes and anticipates patient care needs, promptly answers call lights, and responds to requests promptly. Provides age-appropriate care. Functions appropriately in emergency situations.
