Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Iowa. Current Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE) authorization for school nursing. Valid Iowa teaching license with appropriate endorsement (commonly Health Education or other assigned area) for the teaching component.

The School Nurse / Health Teacher provides comprehensive school health services to support student health, safety, and academic success. This position includes approximately .75 FTE school nursing responsibilities and up to .25 FTE teaching responsibilities , typically in the area of health education or other assigned coursework consistent with licensure. The School Nurse promotes wellness, prevents illness and injury, manages chronic conditions, and ensures compliance with state and federal health regulations while also supporting student learning through classroom instruction.

The South Central Community School District is located in Northwest Iowa and serves the rural communities of Lake City, Rockwell City, Lytton, Lohrville, Lanesboro, and Jolley.
