Role Summary The Lead Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of Pause's medical services. This position blends hands-on patient care (IV therapy, injections) with informal leadership (being the clinical and sales example for the nurse team) and a strong focus on growing medical revenue by actively recommending IV services and add-ons that fit each guest's goals and by helping guests move from one-time visits into ongoing memberships. This is a hands-on role with only minor administrative duties (such as occasional inventory checks or helping with the nurse schedule). The ideal candidate has excellent IV skills, has worked in settings where they both start a lot of IVs and build ongoing relationships with patients, and is excited to apply that trust‑building skill set in a setting where education and recommendations directly influence studio growth. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Administer IV vitamin infusions and intramuscular (IM) injections safely and efficiently Assess guest appropriateness for infusion therapy based on medical history and current condition Obtain and document medical histories and consents; maintain accurate, timely documentation in our electronic systems Monitor guests during and after infusions; recognize and respond to adverse reactions, escalating when needed Maintain a strong working knowledge of all IV drips, injections, and any new medical services offered at Pause (for example, new IV formulations or additional injection options) Comply with all State and Federal regulations and laws, including OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable nursing board standards Complete required training (including CPR/BLS) upon hire and at required intervals Sales & Medical Growth Serve as the studio's clinical expert on IV therapy and medical services, guiding guests to options that best fit their goals Drive key medical goals: growing IV and other medical revenue over time, increasing IV add-on rate and average order value, and improving membership conversions and upgrades related to medical services Proactively identify opportunities to recommend memberships, IV enhancements, and other medical offerings in a consultative, education-first manner Partner with studio leadership to test, refine, and execute promotions that grow medical utilization and membership engagement Leadership & Operations Serve as the day-to-day clinical and sales leader for the nurse team through your example on shift (clinical quality, guest education, and recommending services) Provide on-shift coaching and support to part-time nurses in both clinical practice and consultative selling Help onboard and train new nurses to ensure consistent quality of care and alignment with Pause's guest experience and sales culture Assist with light administrative tasks as needed (for example, occasional input on nurse scheduling and basic inventory checks for IV supplies and related medical products) Schedule Full-time, approximately 32-40 hours per week Weekend requirement (non‑negotiable): Weekend mornings (Saturday and Sunday), typically 3 weekends per month on average Weekends are the studio's busiest IV times and the best opportunities to earn bonuses and commissions Weekday shifts are flexible: hours will be built around late mornings, afternoons, and/or early evenings, with exact timing tailored to the candidate's preferences and studio needs Example weekday patterns: Late morning to late afternoon (e.g., 10:00 am
- 6:00 pm), or Midday to early evening (e.g., 12:00 pm
- 8:00 pm) No overnight shifts, no on-call.
Qualifications Required:
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa Strong IV skills and comfort with repeated venipuncture Current CPR/BLS certification Proficient with electronic documentation and basic computer skills Ability to work most weekend mornings and a mix of weekday late morning/afternoon/early evening shifts
Preferred:
2+ years of recent RN experience in units that combine high IV volume with ongoing patient relationships (e.g., ICU, Labor & Delivery, step-down), as opposed to primarily "one-and-done" encounters Prior experience in wellness, med spa, IV therapy, or concierge-style medical settings Demonstrated success in roles with measurable goals, sales targets, or add-on/membership expectations Previous customer-service experience prior to or alongside nursing, especially in client-facing environments Comfort transitioning from a traditional hospital environment into a goal

Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay:
$36
- 40 per hour DOE (Depends on Experience) Higher consideration within this range for extensive IV experience and demonstrated leadership in previous roles Bonus /
Commission:
Monthly bonus/commission opportunity based on performance against medical revenue and membership growth goals (memberships, IV add-ons, and utilization of medical services), with realistic upside of approximately $300
- 500 per month for strong performers.
