Job Description

The Surgery Center of Idaho is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse to provide nursing care across the surgical experience, including pre-op, post-op/PACU, and operating room circulating. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, team-oriented, flexible, and committed to providing safe, high-quality patient care in a busy surgery center environment. Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care throughout the perioperative process, including pre-op, intraoperative circulating, post-op, and PACU recovery. Assess and monitor patients, document care accurately, and respond to clinical, physical, and emotional needs. Prepare patients for procedures, verify required documentation, start IVs, administer medications or sedation as ordered, and provide patient education. Circulate in the operating room by preparing rooms, assembling supplies and equipment, assisting physicians, and helping maintain a safe surgical environment. Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and report patient condition, response to treatment, or changes in status as appropriate. Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families to support safe and timely care. Assist with discharge preparation, patient transportation and positioning, infection control, inventory, emergency preparedness, quality improvement, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications RN degree from an accredited school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse license issued by the Idaho State Board of Nursing. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required, or ability to obtain. Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience preferred. Surgery center experience preferred. Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in stressful or emergency situations. Flexibility to work throughout the surgery center as needed.
