Specializing in orthopedic, spine, podiatry, and pain procedures, including total joint replacements. Our dedicated team plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional healthcare services for the past 14 years to our community. PVSC is closed weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Job Description:
Pleasant View Surgery Center is looking for a competent Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse to add to our team. The applicant MUST have recent OR circulating experience. The ideal candidate needs to possess exceptional efficiency, great interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, compassion, and a good knowledge of the operating room environment.
Responsibilities:
Provides for accurate care and handling of specimens Assists in positioning, responding to comfort/safety of the patient Observes and enforces strict standards of asepsis Observes, checks, and monitors all equipment used during surgery to confirm they are running smoothly Handles patient documentation Inventories all items both pre
  • and post-surgery Assists with additional OR operational duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with OR Circulation Experience AORN Certification preferred. Experience in musculoskeletal procedures, with a preference for candidates with orthopedic and spine experience. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Knowledge of surgical techniques and procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn instrument sterilization processes (reprocessing experience not required, as training will be provided) and C-Arm operation in the OR.
Supervision:
The position is under the overall supervision of the OR Supervisor and Administrator, and works directly under the OR charge nurse. How to
