Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment at a well-established community hospital in Alton, Illinois. This is a high-volume emergency department with strong physician support and a collaborative care model.

Trauma Designation:
Level II EMR:
Epic Specialty Backup:
Full range including Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopedics, General Surgery, and ICU support Staffing Model 24/7 physician coverage Advanced Practice Provider coverage across multiple shifts Team-based environment with strong support staff Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients across all acuity levels Perform procedures within scope (laceration repair, I&D, splinting, etc.) Order and interpret diagnostic tests Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and specialists Participate in codes and emergency response as needed Requirements Board Certified NP or PA Active Illinois license (or ability to obtain quickly) DEA required
ACLS, BLS
