Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting student well-being as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) for the upcoming 26-27 school year in the Arlington Heights, IL area. This full-time, contract opportunity places you at the heart of student health for a diverse K-12 population, including transition-aged youth (18-22), each with unique and varying support needs. Contribute your expertise and make a meaningful impact on students' daily lives—your care will help foster a safe and nurturing learning environment. Qualifications and Experience Sought:
Valid Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential for Illinois required Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois Experience with students ranging from kindergarten through transition-aged youth (18-22) Ability to provide care for varying medical and educational needs Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills Compassion and adaptability to work within a collaborative educational team
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing services to students with a spectrum of health needs Assess, plan, and implement individualized healthcare plans and emergency action plans Administer medications and provide first aid as required Conduct health screenings and participate in student evaluation processes Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to address student health concerns Promote health education and a safe school environment
