Schedule/Hours:
12-hour Day Shifts Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required No on-call expectations
Qualifications:
Active RN licensure in Illinois Valid CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Minimum 3 years recent cardiovascular ICU experience Proven expertise in CVICU skills: dysrhythmia management, multi-system organ failure, post-cardiac surgical care (not direct from OR), and advanced device management (IABP, Impella, LVAD, RVAD, CRRT, etc.) EKG test with a passing score of 80% or higher Epic experience preferred Experience managing Impella, ECMO, and LVAD patients preferred Charge experience preferred (please note on resume) Ability to float to other ICUs as needed
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-acuity care to post-cardiac surgery and critical CVICU patients Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage complex vascular access devices Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered outcomes Float to other ICUs (MICU and others within the health network) as required Participate in robust orientation and support onboarding of new practices
