Job Summary and Qualifications:

Sets an example for peers in a professional manner Adheres to the center's policies and procedures and the Professional Standards of Nursing Practice Responsible for direct patient care in the operating room Knowledge of sterile technique Maintaining a count of sponges, needles, and other instruments used in the operating room. Prepares the operating room by ensuring supplies, equipment, and instruments are available and in working order, all supplies and equipment necessary are sterile before the procedure, and positioning patients. Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of the patient before, during, and after the procedure and communicating with anesthesia and surgeon with observed changes Ensuring medications are administered and charted Caring for specimens Delivers professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical procedure

Job Requirements:

2 years or more of operating room experience Current Illinois license BLS certification required ACLS and PALS certification is a plus

Pay:

$46.46
