Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A unique contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for pediatric care and school nursing. Partner closely with a kindergarten student requiring high-acuity, 1:1 medical attention as they navigate their school day and bus rides.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct 1:1 nursing care for a kindergarten student with complex medical needs in the school setting and during mandated bus transportation. Manage ventilator and tracheostomy care, including inline suctioning and oxygen therapy as needed. Administer multiple daily G-tube feedings and medications with accuracy and compassion. Conduct frequent monitoring of vitals, perform physical assessments, and respond promptly to health changes. Utilize expertise in respiratory support, delivering inline nebulizer treatments and supporting speaking valve trials. Ensure the student's safety during all transitions, including riding the bus, and adapt strategies to meet both ambulatory and wheelchair needs. Collaborate smoothly with educators, therapists, and families to create a secure, nurturing educational environment.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted RN license. Documented experience in high-acuity pediatric settings, specifically with ventilator, trach, and G-tube management. Demonstrated reliability and commitment to 1:1 support and consistent attendance. Strong clinical judgment, adaptable communication, and a teamwork-oriented mindset.

Assignment begins May 24th.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (7:45 am - 4:00 pm); Tuesday (7:45 am - 3:00 pm). Bus duty is required—nurse must ride with the student to and from school.
