Up to $53/hour (W2) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Behavioral Health team at Touchette Regional Hospital. This is a 13-week travel/contract assignment caring for adult and geriatric psychiatric patients in an acute behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will have strong psychiatric nursing experience, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care. Monitor psychiatric patients and document according to risk precautions. Administer medications and treatments as ordered. Respond appropriately to behavioral health emergencies. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and monitor for contraband. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR. Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies. Minimum Qualifications Active Illinois RN License Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health/Psychiatric RN experience BLS (AHA) Certification CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills (APS) Certification (Required) Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Experience with adult and/or geriatric psychiatric patients Preferred Qualifications BSN preferred Experience with Meditech EMR Strong communication and crisis intervention skills
