We are a high-risk Level III Perinatal Unit in a northside Chicago neighborhood. We and are proud to provide exceptional care in a team-focused, collaborative environment. You will gain the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on mothers and newborns who need advanced, specialized care. In this setting, nurses develop strong clinical skills by caring for premature infants, high-risk pregnancies, and complex medical cases that require critical thinking and teamwork. They work closely with obstetrician, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals, creating valuable experience in a fast-paced interdisciplinary environment. Serving a Chicago community also allows nurses to support diverse families, address health disparities, and provide compassionate care where it is often needed most. In addition to professional growth, this role offers personal fulfillment through helping vulnerable patients during some of the most important moments of their lives. We offer a family-centered, baby-friendly, supportive environment ideal for clinicians who want to develop their skills in Maternal Child nursing. Specific learning opportunities available to new hires are ACLS/BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, Fetal Monitoring, and Stable Newborn assessment. Orientation also includes development of critical thinking & advanced assessment skills as well as interdisciplinary collaboration Nurses looking to advance their careers in leadership or clinical excellence are supported through professional growth opportunities such as education with tuition reimbursement, and an opportunity to advance in unit leadership roles. There is also a clinical advancement program called Advance where nurses can receive recognition including a monetary bonus for projects, orienting to the charge role , and orienting to become a preceptor for new hires. We're Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association One year or more of Labor and Delivery and/or Postpartum experience is strongly preferred
What You'll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
