Key Qualifications:

Active Professional Educator's License in Illinois with Certified School Nurse Endorsement required RN or CSN with strong clinical skills, school health knowledge, and commitment to student well-being Experience with hearing and vision screenings in educational settings Ability to update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and health plans for diverse student needs Strong organizational and communication skills Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct mandated hearing and vision screenings for students across the district Maintain and update IEPs and health care plans to ensure all students receive necessary care and accommodations Serve as the primary CSN for the district, bringing leadership and expertise to health services Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of Registered Nurses to deliver coordinated student health support Act as a liaison between families, educational staff, and medical professionals to promote student safety and academic success Participate in district meetings and provide training or health education as needed This unique role offers the opportunity to have a district-wide impact, providing vital services and leading best practices in school health.
