As a CVICU Registered Nurse specializing in high-acuity cardiac care, your days will be filled with challenging cases, exposure to advanced technologies, and opportunities to grow your leadership abilities by collaborating alongside top-tier cardiovascular teams. This assignment supports professional advancement, with access to practices and protocols that will expand your clinical skills and enhance your resume.
Schedule:
12-hour day shifts Every other weekend required Holidays required No on-call
Orientation:
16 hours (compensated at 50% up to 16 hours)
Floating:
May be assigned to local MICU or ICU units as needed
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' current CVICU experience Active IL RN license, with current
CPR, ACLS, & NIHSS
certifications Proficiency in Epic charting Demonstrated expertise in dysrhythmia management, multi-system organ failure, thermoregulation, CABG, IABP, Impella, Post Cardiac Surgery (not directly from the OR), Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz, valve repair/replacement, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line care Experience managing Impella, ECMO, and LVAD patients is highly valued Passing score (80%+) on EKG test and submission of an updated CVICU skills checklist and supervisor reference from the past year are required Charge experience preferred—please highlight if applicable

Manage care for complex CVICU patient populations using cutting-edge devices and protocols Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams Deliver advanced cardiac interventions and therapies while ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes Flexibly float to sister units as patient census necessitates
