35 Hours perWeek Job Duties:
Reports directly to the Maternal Child Health Coordinator. Perform WIC assessment, nutrition education, counseling, and other requirements as outlined in the state and local WIC policy and procedure manual. Administer WIC benefits and tailor client food packages as appropriate. Perform nursing assessment and other requirements as outlined in the state and local Better-Birth-Outcomes- Comprehensive (BBO-C) Policy and Procedure Manual. Will conduct client appointments in office, by telephone, and/or offsite as needed. Demonstrate a positive and supporting atmosphere for breastfeeding, and will obtain breastfeeding lactation certification when available. Administer and prepare childhood and adult immunizations per CDC and IDPH guidelines. Schedule and perform DNA testing as requested by commercial laboratories. Attend and/or participate in program outreach activities and events. Assist and document client referrals as needed to appropriate providers and/or resources.Salary:
