Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in nursing to an impactful role supporting student health and safety. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Certified School Nurse (CSN) with a Registered Nurse background, eager to play a vital part in ensuring compliance and quality care throughout the 26/27 academic year. Responsibilities include delivering specialized oversight across campuses for approximately 10 hours each month. You'll collaborate with school staff to make certain all medication administration protocols are up to date, review and audit medication stocks, and perform thorough file evaluations. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in verifying that seizure, allergy, and asthma action plans are current and that each campus maintains appropriate access to non-expired medications. Supporting the broader school community, your guidance will reinforce a safe environment for students with medical needs.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation License as a Registered Nurse School Nurse Professional Educator License (PEL) required Prior experience as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) or working in a school-based setting Strong administrative and organizational skills for effective file reviews Ability to communicate clearly with school staff and stakeholders Commitment to high standards in student health practices
