Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role where your nursing expertise supports students' well-being and academic growth. As a dedicated Registered Nurse working within a school-based setting, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. Your clinical skills and compassionate care will help create a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, unencumbered RN license in the state Experience as a school nurse or with pediatric nursing preferred Familiarity with school health policies and protocols Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to respond calmly and efficiently during student health emergencies CPR/BLS certification required
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and emergency treatment to students and staff as needed Administer medications and manage care for students with chronic health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, allergies) Maintain accurate and confidential health records Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individual health plans and promote student wellness Support and educate students on injury prevention, hygiene, and health management Monitor immunizations and communicate requirements to families Participate in health screenings and assist with school-wide health initiatives Enjoy the unique benefits of the school schedule with evenings, weekends, and holidays free, allowing time for personal pursuits or family activities.
