None About the Role MedOp Solutions is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Illinois to hire an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment starting within two weeks of offer. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department caring for a diverse patient population requiring rapid assessment, critical thinking, and timely interventions. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment. This assignment is particularly well-suited for adaptable ER nurses who are comfortable working through major system transitions, as the department is preparing for an EPIC update and go-live event during the assignment.

EPIC system update and go-live scheduled during assignment Key Responsibilities Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity Provide emergency nursing care for medical, surgical, trauma, and critical care patients Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition Interpret cardiac rhythms and recognize emergent abnormalities Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation Support departmental workflows during EMR transition activities Required Qualifications Active Illinois RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required ACLS certification required PALS certification required TNCC certification required NIHSS certification required Must submit with proof of passing EKG test (80% or higher) Must successfully complete EKG testing during orientation Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and emergency assessment skills Previous EPIC experience preferred Scheduling & Expectations 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM•7:00 AM) 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Holiday coverage as needed No floating requirements No on-call requirements Time-Off Expectations Due to a major EPIC system update and go-live occurring during this assignment: Minimal requested time off is strongly preferred Limited time off may be considered in July No time off will be approved during August due to system go-live activities Additional Information Fast-paced emergency department environment Strong emergency assessment and critical care skills required Opportunity to participate in a significant healthcare technology transition
