Schedule:

12-hour day shifts Every other weekend Holidays required No on-call responsibilities

Qualifications:

Active Illinois RN license Minimum three years of recent CVICU experience Strong competency in EKG interpretation and management of dysrhythmias (successful EKG test score ≥80% required) Current certifications:

CPR, ACLS, NIHSS

Proficiency with Epic EMR Recent experience with advanced cardiovascular devices (Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, CRRT) Experience with ECMO and post-cardiac surgery care preferred Charge nurse experience is a plus Ability to float to nearby ICUs as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert care for critically ill cardiac patients, including post-cardiac cath, valve repair/replacement, and complex cardiac assessments Oversee multi-system organ failure cases, manage thermoregulation, and advanced IV therapy Skillfully administer medications, blood products, and manage various lines and ports Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity setting Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
