Job Summary:
Midwest Digestive Health & Nutrition is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our GI Lab Pre-Op and Recovery Team. In this essential role, the RN will work closely with the CRNA/ Anesthesiologist to prepare patients for GI procedures and ensure safe and comfortable recovery post-procedure. This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the CRNA/Anesthesiologist to prepare patients for GI/endoscopy procedures. Conduct comprehensive patient history intakes. Start and manage IV lines for pre
  • and post-procedure care. Complete HCG testing as indicated. Review and verify informed consents and ensure proper documentation. Monitor and document vital signs pre
  • and post-procedure. Provide patient education and answer pre
  • and post-procedure questions.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment following all infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start). Strong IV skills and knowledge of pre-op screening protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Must be able to travel to both of our locations
