Job Description

Triage Nurse - ENT Practice Full-Time | Monday-Thursday | Hinsdale, IL Busy, patient-centered ENT practice seeking an experienced and compassionate Triage Nurse to join our team. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys patient communication, problem-solving, and coordinating care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The Triage Nurse serves as a key clinical resource for patients and providers by managing incoming patient concerns, coordinating follow-up care, and supporting clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care. Schedule Monday -
Thursday:
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Position may work between our Hinsdale and La Grange locations as needed. Responsibilities Perform telephone and electronic patient triage, assessing symptoms and determining appropriate next steps Respond to patient messages, questions, and concerns in a timely and professional manner Coordinate care with physicians and clinical staff Review and process prescription refill requests according to provider protocols Complete prior authorizations and assist with medication management Review lab results, imaging, and provider recommendations with patients as directed Coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up appointments Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist with occasional in-office clinical support as needed Qualifications Current RN license in the state of Illinois required Prior outpatient triage or physician office experience preferred ENT, allergy, surgical, or specialty office experience preferred but not required Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with EMR systems preferred Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Why Join Us?
