Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) - Urgent Care / Walk-In Clinic Lake Forest Acute Care Lake Forest, IL Job Details Part-time From $31 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications RN License BLS Certification Full Job Description Are you an experienced RN looking for a lower-stress alternative to the hospital setting while still providing meaningful patient care? Our fast-paced but supportive clinic environment is ideal for nurses seeking flexible part-time work, additional shifts outside a full-time position, or a more balanced clinical role. We are looking for compassionate, team-oriented nurses who enjoy patient interaction, value teamwork, and thrive in a friendly, collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide skilled nursing care to patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries Assess, monitor, and document patient symptoms, conditions, and responses to treatment Communicate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, and clinical staff regarding patient care Perform clinical procedures including blood draws, IVs, injections, EKGs, and assisting with minor procedures Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, health maintenance, and disease prevention Review laboratory and imaging results with providers Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR documentation) Coordinate referrals and follow-up care as needed Help create a welcoming, efficient, and positive patient experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Illinois RN license in good standing Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification Previous nursing experience required ER, Urgent Care, Med-Surg, or other fast-paced clinical experience preferred Strong IV, phlebotomy, and clinical assessment skills Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a healthcare team Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy clinical environment Friendly, dependable, and patient-focused attitude
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the on-duty Physician, Medical Director, and Office Manager.
